About us

Screen Australia’s Strategic Policy and Industry Insights (SPII) team collects data and information on screen production and consumption in Australia; and undertakes rigorous analysis to highlight industry trends and the effect of programs and policies on the sector. In addition to assisting the senior executive to develop policy positions and engage with policy makers, this robust evidence and keen insight informs Screen Australia’s internal strategy development function and the sector.

About the role

We are now seeking an experienced Research professional to successfully manage research projects end to end and deliver data driven insights for Screen Australia and the Industry alike. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Policy and Industry Insights, this position will set the research agenda and optimise the use of existing and new data sets to develop a deeper understanding of audiences and content.

About you

  • You will have substantial experience as a Researcher ideally gained within the Media or similar industry such as the Arts, Government or NFP sectors.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to project manage and deliver complex research projects.
  • Possess high level analytical and problem solving abilities with an ability to generate appropriate and imaginative solutions.
  • Have very strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and experience working with visualisation and dashboard tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Be passionate about research, screen content, audiences and emerging media and technology
